Enhance 16,000 acres of existing longleaf habitat and establish an additional 1,000 acres of longleaf pine seedlings to benefit red cockaded woodpecker, Bachman's sparrow, and gopher tortoise in north-central Florida. Project will engage private landowners in longleaf restoration through a prescribed burn association, and will restore and enhance longleaf pine habitat on the Ocala National Forest and public and private lands surrounding Camp Blanding Joint Training Center.
