Create a public gathering space with a green infrastructure outdoor classroom from a paved, impervious surface to improve water quality in Lake Erie by removing hundreds of thousands of gallons of stormwater runoff annually, and to create more biodiverse habitat and a restored tree canopy in the urban core. Project will restore vacant lots in four Cleveland neighborhoods through clean-ups, soil remediation and the planting of 328 native trees as well as other native grasses and perennials.
