Develop and implement a repeatable, scalable survey protocol for avian diversity within the Copper and Sayre Fires in the Angeles National Forest using a combination of passive acoustic surveys and machine learning-based species identification. Project will monitor the effects of both fires and post-fire restoration on avian diversity and produce a template for long-term, region-wide acoustic monitoring program capable of providing high statistical power to detect population changes resulting from fire, restoration, and other environmental changes.
