NFWF Grant Profile

Develop a local strategy to implement alternative fishing technology for the Galapagos Marine Reserve to reduce waved albatross by-catch and contribute to long-term sustainability. Project will support efforts to eliminate the use of non-permitted fishing gear and will engage the fishing community in practices and technology development to support sustainable fisheries among local stakeholders.
