Deploy automated acoustic monitors to identify locations where ‘ake‘ake, band-rumped storm petrel, are detected indicating potential colony locations on Maui. Project will locate existing colonies to assess distribution, quantify presence and relative population status, and will explore management strategies to protect populations, and develop alternatives if in situ protection is not feasible.
