Increase longleaf pine restoration, prescribed fire and community engagement on private lands in the North Carolina Sandhills region. Project will burn over 10,000 acres of private lands, establish over 1,000 new acres of longleaf pine, improve management on 16,000 acres, protect 600 acres of existing longleaf pine habitat with conservation easements and install 30 red-cockaded woodpecker inserts on lands enrolled in Safe Harbor agreements.
