NFWF Grant Profile

Transforms unmaintained Detroit city parks into community greenspaces with meadow habitat consisting of native flowers and grasses beneficial to birds and pollinators. The project will continue outreach and education in the communities around each Detroit Bird City park and create 23.6 acres of meadow habitat, providing ecological functions such as pollination, stormwater capture, carbon sequestration and air and water pollution mitigation.
