Coordinate longleaf pine restoration across the South and address limitations to longleaf seedling quality and quantity by establishing a longleaf pine tree improvement program focused on improving longleaf genetics, expanding seed collection capacity and supporting nursery seedling capacity expansion within the historical longleaf pine range. Project will produce 20 million longleaf pine seedlings and support the coordination of 18 longleaf implementation teams implementing longleaf restoration.
