Description:

Assist public and private landowners with prescribed fire management and longleaf restoration in south Georgia and north Florida. Project will support prescribed fire capacity including a prescribed burn association to assist with 3,000 acres of prescribed burning, plant 250 acres of longleaf pine on public and private lands, and protect 1,000 acres of existing longleaf habitat with voluntary conservation easements, benefitting gopher tortoise, red-cockaded woodpecker and northern bobwhite.
