Engage family forest owners and assist public land managers in Alabama to restore and enhance longleaf forests and improve habitat for at-risk species. Project will support longleaf restoration on National Forests and Alabama Department of Conservation and Natural Resources lands and target 8,000 landowners through marketing efforts to restore or enhance more than 20,000 acres of longleaf and improve habitat for gopher tortoises and other fire-dependent at-risk species found in longleaf forests.
