Hire a new technician to work with landowners to create monthly local farmer led workgroups, 90 completed certified conservation practices, and bring 10,000 acres under improved management to improve soil and water quality by preventing phosphorus, nitrogen, and sediment runoff. The project will implement peer-to-peer farmer led groups and Natural Resource Conservation Service Farm Bill programs in the Upper Looking Glass Watershed, Michigan.
