Engage family forest owners in a 29-county area of north Alabama to restore and improve shortleaf pine and white oak forests, and protect and improve in-stream habitat for at-risk aquatic species. Project will engage 600 landowners through outreach events and technical assistance to plant or improve management of more than 7,750 acres of upland and riparian forest and restore habitat connectivity to 15 miles of stream by retrofitting culverts or removing other stream barriers.
