Engage 60 students in project design; 700 people in environmental education; remove 22,360 sq. ft. of asphalt and replace it with 20,101 sq. ft. of green infrastructure on playgrounds at IS 296X and X158, Bronx, New York. Project will enhance school and community environmental education and outdoor recreational space in an underserved urban community and capture 2.7 million gallons of stormwater and 43 pounds of nitrogen pollution annually before it flows into local waterways.
