Chesapeake Bay Stewardship Fund in Lancaster
The farmland of Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, may seem distant from the waters of the Chesapeake Bay, but these two landscapes are more connected than you might think. Agricultural runoff is the number one source of pollution in the Bay.
Working with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, the Chesapeake Bay Program, Altria, the U.S.Forest Service, the USDA's Natural Resources Conservation Service, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and Zoetis Foundation, NFWF is working to accelerate conservation planning and best management practices in dairy country. We are proud to collaborate with farmers and landowners to accelerate the voluntary adoption of regenerative agriculture practices that generate so many benefits for our water, wildlife, the climate and communities.
