Funds Available for Natural Resource Restoration Projects in Tuolumne County, California

The National Fish and Wildlife Foundation (NFWF), in collaboration with the California Department of Fish and Wildlife, Office of Spill Prevention and Response (CDFW/OSPR), announces the availability of funding for restoration projects that benefit aquatic resources in Tuolumne County, California.

The funds originate from state natural resource damage settlements as a result of spills or other pollution related settlements in Tuolumne County.

Approximately $120,000 is available and multiple projects may be selected for funding. 

Local, state, and federal agencies, local and regional park districts, non-governmental organizations, and other private entities are all eligible to apply.

Interested proponents must submit to the CDFW/OSPR Project Coordinator a short project concept that briefly describes the proposed project. This project concept will include a description of the proposed project, a general scope of work, an estimated timeline for implementing the project, and an estimated budget.  If a project concept is determined to be feasible and suitable for funding, the CDFW/OSPR Project Coordinator will request a full restoration project proposal.
